Workshop 1 |
11h30-13h00 |
| Gas is “Grenelle-compatible” |
Natural gas provides efficient solutions to energy needs, notably for heating and power generation. Are these solutions consistent with the goals of the Grenelle Environment Round Table? What are the main assets of gas in the context of energy efficiency, and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and local pollution? What about its flexible use?
How is its compatibility with renewable energies being exploited, particular with biogas as part of the Gaya project? |
Moderated by > Catherine Foulonneau, Strategy Department, GrDF
> Dominig Bourbao, Chargée du développement durable au cabinet du maire de Nevers, Directrice du conseil local du développement durable
> Véronique Mambre, Chef de projet Gaya, Direction recherche et innovation, GDF SUEZ
> Bruno Rousseau, Direction générale d’immobilière Rhône-Alpes, Groupe 3F |

Workshop 2 |
11h30-13h00 |
| Improving energy efficiency in buildings |
| The Grenelle Environmental Round Table involves strengthening heating regulations. Are gas energy performances suitable for these new regulations? In this context, what are the growth perspectives for gas solutions in residential/tertiary buildings? How can we make the gas solution win out in programmes for both existing and new buildings? |
Moderated by > Patrick de Beaurepaire, General Manager, FG3E
> Christian Labie, CEO, RAEE
> Patrice Hennig, Energie et Avenir
> Serge Burtin, CEO of the Rhône-Alpes – Bourgogne, FG3E

Workshop 3 |
11h30-13h00 |
| Gas, a fuel of the future? |
| NGV, LPG, biomethane fuel: There are many alternatives to traditional fuels. What is the performance of these fuels? Could the use of gas as a fuel have a positive impact on local pollution? Do the challenges posed by the fight against climate change open up new business opportunities for these fuels? What lessons could be drawn from projects already-completed? |
Moderated by > Karine Vernier, CEO, GNVert

Round table 2 |
15h00-16h00 |
| Security of the gas chain: a priority |
| The security of both networks and installations is the subject of constant attention. However, in light of recent events, the issue of determining whether the efforts being undertaken are sufficient has arisen. What are the various security actions being implemented? How is the action plan for improving the security of pipelines, initiated in July 2008 by Meeddat, been organized? What are the operating principles of the "one stop shop” providing information on gas distribution networks? |
Moderated by > Pierre Delohen, Journalist

Workshop 4 |
16h30 - 18h00 |
| Technological innovations applied to gas uses |
| What are the new technologies related to gas uses? How can available micro-cogeneration and electricity-generating boilers be used optimally? What are the performances of such equipments, particularly with respect to energy efficiency? |
Moderated by > Thomas Muller, Responsable nouveaux produits, Délégation développement, GrDF

Workshop 5 |
16h30 - 18h00 |
| Energy efficiency of the gas chain |
| Climate change challenges as well as increasing regulatory demands have led the gas industry to assess and improve energy efficiency along its entire chain, from upstream to downstream activities. What projects have been undertaken? What progress is expected? What are the steps in the chain which represent the most significant advancements: compression stations, transport grids, storage, LNG, etc? Are co-operations with other industry sectors foreseen? |

Workshop 6 |
16h30 - 18h00 |
| Infrastructures development and local acceptability |
Infrastructure developments and local acceptability
Local opposition to industrial projects is becoming increasingly vocal. How does NIMBY syndrome affect the development of gas infrastructures in France? What are the main arguments put forward by local opponents? How can industrial companies answer these fears? What can we do to ensure the necessary investments in gas infrastructures? How can public bodies facilitate the acceptance of some projects? |
